ADAS Calibration

ADAS Calibration

New windshield? Your safety cameras need to be re-aimed.

If your car warns you when you drift out of a lane or brakes on its own to avoid a collision, those features run on a camera mounted to your windshield. Replace the glass and that camera has to be re-aimed. That’s ADAS calibration, and it’s the step that makes a windshield replacement genuinely safe on a modern vehicle.

A small aim error becomes a big one

ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems: the cameras and sensors behind lane-keeping, adaptive cruise, and automatic braking. They’re aimed with tight tolerances. Move the camera a hair during a windshield replacement and that tiny shift turns into a large error a few hundred feet down the road, right where the system is supposed to react. Calibration resets the aim to the manufacturer’s specification.

Done by the book

Depending on your vehicle, we perform a static calibration with targets, a dynamic calibration on a road drive, or both. We follow the automaker’s procedure, verify the system reads correctly, and pair it with your glass work so it’s one appointment, not two. We serve drivers across Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Southwest Florida. Reach out for a quote.

Your options

Types of calibration.

Your vehicle dictates which one it needs, and we follow the manufacturer's procedure.

Static calibration

Targets set at precise distances in front of the car, in a controlled space.

Dynamic calibration

Calibration completed while driving the vehicle at set speeds on the road.

Dual calibration

Some vehicles require both a static and a dynamic procedure to finish.

Our process

How we deliver your adas calibration.

01

Identify the system

We check what driver-assist features your vehicle has and how the maker requires them calibrated.

02

Replace the glass first

Calibration follows the windshield replacement. The camera has to sit in its new, correct position.

03

Calibrate to spec

Static calibration uses targets at set distances. Dynamic calibration is done on a road drive. Some cars need both.

04

Verify & document

We confirm the system reads correctly and let you know it's complete.

Estimating

What affects your adas calibration cost.

Every project is different, so we give a written quote after seeing the site. These are the factors that move the number up or down.

Vehicle make & model

Calibration procedures and targets differ by automaker. Some are quick, some are involved.

Calibration type

Static, dynamic, or both. A car that needs both takes longer.

System complexity

More cameras and sensors mean a more detailed calibration.

Where it's done

Some calibrations need a controlled, level space with proper lighting. We'll advise what your car requires.

Answers

ADAS Calibration questions, answered.

The cameras that run lane-keeping and automatic emergency braking are mounted to your windshield. When the glass is replaced, the camera moves even slightly, and a slight aim error becomes a big error far down the road. Calibration re-aims it to factory spec so the system reacts when it should.
